The Extron SW2 VGA DA2 AF R, SW2 VGA DA2 A, and SW2 VGA DA2 AF are combination active switchers and distribution amplifiers with stereo audio. Each switcher in this family provides two inputs and dual, independently buffered outputs. These mountable combination switchers/distribution amplifiers provide 300 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth. All three switchers are compatible with VGA-QXGA signals, as well as Macs with 15-pin HD outputs.
The SW2 VGA DA2 AF R is a one box solution for professional presentation environments. It has two female 15-pin HD connectors for computer-video and audio inputs ?one on the front panel for easy laptop hookup and one on the rear panel for PCs installed in a fixed location. Two female 15-pin HD outputs and one balanced/unbalanced stereo audio output on a captive screw connector are located on the back panel for connection to display devices such as a preview monitor and a projector. In addition, the SW2 VGA DA2 AF R can be both rack-mounted and furniture-mounted. The 1U metal enclosure ships with detachable ears for rack mounting. This switcher also features an internal international power supply with an unswitched power connector, eliminating the need for costly electrical wiring to podiums, tables, and other installation surfaces. In addition, two spaces for Architectural Adapter Plates (AAPs) provide optional connection access for most peripheral equipment, including RJ-45 and RJ-11 phone and data jacks. The SW2 VGA DA2 AF R also features tactile switch buttons with LEDs, and can be remotely controlled via contact closure. This model offers both a manual and an autoswitching mode.
For presentation environments that do not require rack mounting or an additional power source, the SW2 VGA DA2 A and SW2 VGA DA2 AF are the ideal solutions. Both are furniture-mountable, feature autoswitching, and are powered by 12VDC through jack or captive screw connectors. An external international power supply is included. The difference between the two is in input connector locations. The SW2 VGA DA2 A offers all input connections on the back panel. The SW2 VGA DA2 AF offers one female 15-pin HD connector and one stereo mini jack for audio through the front panel. All other connectors are on the back panel. Front panel access makes the SW2 VGA DA2 AF an ideal solution for use in applications where one computer-video source is in a fixed location, and the second source is a portable laptop.
All three switchers in this line are equipped with the following features:
